Solar panel installation & battery storage
MCS-certified design, installation and maintenance, sized to what your roof and household actually use.
Every part of a solar and battery job, one team
From the first survey to a fault years later, it's the same NICEIC-registered engineers. Pick one to see what's included.
Solar panel design and installation
A free, in-person survey, not a desktop estimate, sized to your roof and your actual usage.
- Roof pitch, orientation and shading assessed on site
- System sized to your household or business usage, not a fixed package
- Suitable for tile, slate and flat roofs, including listed and conservation-area properties where permitted
- Structural check before anything goes on the roof
- Installed to MCS certification standards throughout
- Signed off by the engineer who surveyed it, with full documentation
We install on residential and commercial roofs across Northampton and the surrounding counties, from a handful of panels on a semi-detached house to larger arrays on commercial premises. South-facing roofs generate the most, but east and west-facing systems still perform well and can suit a household's usage pattern better, which is exactly the kind of trade-off we walk through at survey stage rather than after the panels are up.
Battery storage
Store what your panels generate instead of exporting it for a fraction of its value.
- Use stored power in the evening, when usage is highest
- Fitted alongside a new install or retrofitted to an existing one
- Matched to your existing inverter wherever possible, avoiding unnecessary replacement
- Sized to your household's evening and overnight usage, not a standard capacity
- Can provide backup power in an outage, depending on how the system is configured
- Suitable for houses, flats and commercial premises
Most solar households only use a fraction of what their panels generate during the day, because that's when people are at work or at school rather than at home. A battery closes that gap, storing the surplus for the evening peak instead of sending it back to the grid for a fraction of its retail value. We size the battery to your actual usage pattern from the survey, not to a standard capacity that's too small to matter or too large to pay back.
Maintenance and repairs
Underperformance, inverter faults and damage, diagnosed properly and fixed.
- Systems we fitted and ones we didn't
- Inverter fault diagnosis and repair
- Underperformance checked against expected output, not guessed at
- Physical damage assessed and repaired, including after storms
- Parts and testing equipment carried for single-visit fixes wherever possible
- Planned maintenance contracts for commercial sites that need predictable uptime
A solar system that's quietly underperforming rarely announces itself; most people only notice when a bill looks wrong months later. We check actual output against what the system should be generating for its size and orientation, rather than treating a lower number as normal. Inverter faults, loose connections and panel damage from weather or debris are the most common causes, and most can be diagnosed and fixed in a single visit.

Solar and battery storage in Northampton, answered
If yours isn't here, call and ask, a straight answer, not a sales pitch.
Ask us a questionDesign, installation and ongoing maintenance for both residential and commercial properties, plus battery storage. Every system is sized to your roof and your actual energy use during a free survey, not sold as a standard package.
Yes. Battery storage lets you use the electricity your panels generate later in the day, instead of exporting it back to the grid for a fraction of its value. We fit it alongside a new installation or retrofit it to a system that's already in place.
Yes. We install for residential and commercial clients, including offices, warehouses and business premises, with each system designed around the specific roof and its energy usage rather than a one-size approach.
Yes. Every installation is designed around your property's roof structure, orientation, shading and energy usage, worked out during a free survey rather than assumed from a standard package.
Most domestic roof-mounted installations fall under permitted development, so no application is needed. Listed buildings, conservation areas and some flat-roof or ground-mounted arrays are the usual exceptions, and we check your specific property as part of the survey.
It depends on your roof and how much electricity you use, so anyone giving you a figure before seeing either is guessing. We survey free of charge and give you a realistic answer in writing, including telling you if it doesn't stack up for your property.
Yes, including systems we didn't install. That covers inverter and battery faults, underperformance, physical damage and planned maintenance visits, so faults get caught on a scheduled check rather than a breakdown.
It depends on the size of the system and the property, but most domestic installations are completed within a few days, including setup and commissioning. We'll give you a specific estimate as part of your quote.
You'll get a written quote with the system size, the equipment and the price, so there's nothing to chase or guess at. If you go ahead, we book in the installation date directly, install to MCS standards, and commission the system with you before we leave, talking through how to get the most from it.
