As well as saving more money through a cheap night rate you will also benefit from SEG payments which currently stands at £0.18 per KW/h (Octopus energy), this will allow you to squeeze the most out of the energy system and maximise the payback you will receive from your solar and battery storage system.

Another trick that can be used on properties with immersion tanks/ electric boilers is to schedule them to run to use the electricity you generate instead of gas which can save you anywhere from £1-5 a day simply by using the free energy you store from solar.
